All the products Canoa Homeware Collections comply with international standards governing articles that come into contact with food. Does not contain cadmium or lead.

In general all our products:

• Microwave safe (except products with gold, silver or platinum finishes)
• Can go in the oven (up to 220ºC)
• Can go in the dishwasher
• Can go in the fridge and freezer
• Resist the risks of using cutlery

Precautions for use:

• Before first use, wash and dry your parts well;
• If you use the dishwasher, always let the washing cycle finish;
• Avoid placing your hot items on a cold or wet surface. Use a base suitable for heating, such as cork bases;
• Avoid taking pieces from the freezer directly into a preheated oven. The defrosting and heating processes should be done gradually;
• When using your pieces in the oven, place them in the center of the oven on top of a rack;
• Avoid placing your pieces directly over a heat source such as an open flame or electric hob;
• When placing the parts in the dishwasher, we advise that no part is in direct contact with another during the washing cycle, to avoid damage;
• We recommend hand washing larger and/or more delicate items;
• You must avoid dragging and sliding the pieces over each other so as not to scratch the surface.

In the case of pieces with gold:

• Avoid storing your pieces inside packaging to avoid gold oxidation;
• In case of oxidation, you can clean it with a soft, dry flannel, or with a mildly aggressive product suitable for cleaning metals (test on a small area initially). Wash and dry well to remove traces of any cleaning product.;
• Avoid using your pieces with gold in the microwave. Gold is a metal that, when in contact with microwave electromagnetic waves, generates sparks, which can break down your equipment and cause greater damage;
• We recommend washing the parts by hand, with soft sponges and mild detergents;
• If you choose to wash in the dishwasher, we advise you to use short cycles and low temperatures.
